La Liga: Cristiano Ronaldo follows new diet to shed weight, make him quicker and prolong his career

The Real Madrid superstar adopted a fruit-only diet, has lost 2kg - and is working on losing another one


Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly following a fruit-heavy diet in a bid to prolong his playing career.
According to Spanish publication Sport,  Ronaldo made the decision to alter his eating habits upon turning 30 last year.

It is claimed the Real Madrid star , who  celebrated his 31st birthday this month, has shed two kilograms in weight already, taking him down to 78kg.
And he reportedly wants to lose another kilogram per year in order to improve his speed and ensure his body can cope with the demands expected of it.
As such, Ronaldo has had to ease off his rigorous personal training regime, which was initially set up to build muscle.




The Portuguese international admitted earlier in the week he could be swayed into acting when he retires from football and said previously he would remain at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2018 at the least.
